Since breaking the British junior record in 2001, Goldie has gone on to become Britain's leading field event athlete. She is a double Olympian and has been an Olympic, World, Commonwealth and European Championship finalist.

2008 saw Goldie break the British record in the Olympic final with a throw of 65.75m taking her to 4th place and confirming her prospects as a leading medal contender for London 2012.


"London 2012 will be my 3rd Olympics and having come so close to a medal in 2008 I'm doing everything I can to make sure I'll be on that podium in London. The Olympics is an amazing experience however I know a home crowd will make it extra special."


2009 was a year restricted by injury however Goldie won her 7th consecutive National title.

2010 saw Goldie Sayers make history by becoming the first athlete to win 8 consecutive National titles. Even though injury has disrupted her year again she is ready to put a marker down in 2011 to set the pace in the run up to the London Olympics.

Goldie played county hockey, netball and tennis and was a national under 11 table tennis champion. She gained a Masters and First Class Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Loughborough University and is an experienced and sort after motivational speaker.
