What Does the Course Entail

The Suspension Training module provides all students with the essential information, skills and abilities needed for this form of fitness. With the Training Room you’ll learn everything you’ll need to know, right from the history behind the method through to the benefits, how to set up equipment, key exercises and health and safety. With this information under your belt, you’ll be fully qualified to pass this knowledge on to your clients, and get them working harder and smarter.

The course itself is split into three different modules, which provide you with a complete and comprehensive knowledge of this method of exercise, these include:

    1. The history and benefits of suspension training
    2. Health and safety considerations and how to train
    3. Key exercises and how to deliver lessons

Taking Part on the Course

To take part on the Suspension Training course the entry requirements are a minimum of a Level 2 Certificate in Fitness Instructing, or an equivalent qualification.

For those looking to take the course, there is a training manual which should be read prior to the CPD day, in order to develop a basic understanding of what is involved. Students will also need to fill out a worksheet which is to be handed in during the course day.

The course workshop will consist of both theory and practical elements. You will be assessed on a short practical observation, in which you’ll get the chance to showcase the skills you have learned. The worksheet will also form part of your assessment.

Upon successful completion of the training course, you’ll be awarded 8 REPs points.
