The Training Room’s relationship with Restart Rugby
RESTART Rugby is the official charity of the Rugby Players Association (RPA). The Training Room have worked closely with the RPA for over a year now and we are very proud to support their charity.
The charity was setup to give financial and practical support for rugby players in times of need. Whether this is due to rehabilitation costs following injury, or education when a player is forced to retire early.
We quickly recognised that The Training Room were able to offer something very special and unique to the RPA and RESTART. The Training Room donated 6 free personal training course places to well-deserved rugby players who needed to retrain to build a new career path.
The last place was filled by Eddie Aholelei, London Welsh and Tonga International Prop. Eddie has big plans for his qualification!
‘"The Training Room course has not only helped me as a rugby player, but also in preparation for life after rugby. I have just started my own charity, (Youth in Union-Tonga) where I will use the knowledge and experience I have gained from this course to train the youth of Tonga."
The Training Room’s flexible learning options mean that people can study for these qualifications in their own time, as an e-learning student, or as part of a scheduled training course either in 6 weeks intensive, or 6 months part time. This really does make achieving these qualifications very accessible for people leading busy lives!
We wish Eddie and all the other players the best of luck in the future and know that they will use their qualification to inspire the next generation!
